We had memorable views of Hen Harriers on Thursdays Mull Nature Expedition as we recorded at least four birds occupying a concentrated area of moorland. We also watched one cock bird collecting nest material for 20 minutes!
As part of the expeditions we are monitoring coastal sites for the national seabird census and April it is the time when Black Guillemot coverage is required. During the excursion we recorded occupancy on one of the designated sites.
Other records on the expedition were 1st year Golden Eagle, White-tailed Eagles, Gannet, Red Deer, Shelduck, Teal, GN Diver, Kestrel and Buzzards.
