I recently visited a neighbour who was leaving / managing an area of their garden / lawn for nature recovery. It was a beautiful haze of purple with Devils-bit Scabious, Knapweed plus Ling and Bell Heather. The insects, including the pictured Honeybee, were nectoring on the rich food source available. Every time I sit and watch these magical spectacles, it reminds me of the following quote...
