A day off for Theo and myself yesterday so we headed out just after sunrise for some early morning birding. A drake Long-tailed Duck and a female C Scoter were good island records along with a Storm Petrel towards the head of Loch Scridain being another good record. It was also nice to see GN Diver numbers building in the area.
After providing guests with numerous photo workshops this year, Theo and I decided to commit some time to it ourselves and spent a privileged hour with this mother and cub Otter feeding along the coast.
