Another image from Ewan's Golden Eagle media project from the summer...
Here is the adult female with her 20 day old eaglet. There were originally two chicks, but siblicide did take place with aggressive 'bill stabbing' observed, and the adult female consumed the perished chick. This behaviour is widespread in large eagle species and is connected to a food shortage on the eyrie.
